Resources to Help Golf Course Operators Prepare-For and Manage Emergency Situations
On July 20th, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Mike Farnworth, declared BC to be in a state of emergency to support the provincewide response to the ongoing wildfire situation. This comes only weeks after the state of emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic was rescinded and reminds us how quickly emergency situations can arise.
The Allied Golf Association of BC is working in tandem with golf operators and all levels of government to facilitate public safety and balance ongoing operations, where appropriate. We are confident that all facilities are monitoring and managing their own unique situations, but remind everyone that conditions can change rapidly. Therefore, it is highly recommended that every operator take this opportunity to review and update their emergency plans and resources.
